Choose the description that fits you best. Each one starts the same simple, educational conversation.
Turning 65
Learn about enrollment timing, Medicare Parts A and B, prescription coverage and the different ways you can receive your Medicare benefits.
New to Medicare
We'll help explain the different pieces of Medicare and the questions you may want to consider before making coverage decisions.
Already on Medicare
Plans, provider networks, formularies, costs and individual circumstances can change. A Medicare review can help you understand your current coverage and available options.
Helping Someone I Love
Medicare can be overwhelming when you're trying to help someone else navigate it. We can help your family understand the process and available resources.
Medicare 101
A plain-language look at how Medicare is organized.
Part A
Medicare Part A generally helps cover inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care and certain home health care.
Part B
Medicare Part B generally helps cover physician services, outpatient care, preventive services and certain medical equipment and services.
Part C
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare and provide Medicare Part A and Part B benefits. Many plans also include Part D prescription drug coverage.
Part D
Part D provides prescription drug coverage through private plans approved by Medicare.
Medigap
Medicare Supplement insurance is private insurance designed to help pay certain out-of-pocket costs in Original Medicare. Medicare Supplement is different from Medicare Advantage.
There is no single Medicare solution that's right for everyone. Your healthcare providers, prescriptions, budget, travel, other coverage and personal priorities can all be important considerations.
Two Paths
Neither path is better in general. They are simply different structures.
Medicare Part A + Part B
May be paired with:
Medicare Part C
Offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare.
The right fit depends on the individual. That's why we start by understanding you.
What We Review
We don't believe Medicare guidance should begin with a particular insurance company. It should begin with understanding your needs.
Primary care providers, specialists and healthcare systems that matter to you.
Your medications, dosages and preferred pharmacies.
Medicare, employer coverage, retiree benefits, VA/TRICARE, Medicaid or other coverage.
Premiums and potential out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
Travel, time spent outside Oregon and how you prefer to access healthcare.
Provider flexibility, predictability, prescription coverage and other factors that matter to you.
Then we can help you understand the options available through the insurance organizations we are authorized to represent.
