Accessibility Statement

Most of the people we serve are older adults and their families. Making this site easy to read and easy to use is part of how we do our work.

Our commitments

  • Large, high-contrast body text with generous line spacing — we aim for a minimum body size of about 18px throughout the site.
  • Clear, descriptive headings so screen readers and keyboard users can move through a page in order.
  • Form fields with visible labels, keyboard access and strong visible focus states.
  • Buttons and links large enough to select comfortably on a phone, tablet or desktop.
  • Plain-language explanations instead of industry jargon wherever we can.
  • No auto-playing audio or video, no countdown timers and no pop-ups designed to pressure a decision.
  • Required disclosures presented at a readable size — never faint, hidden or collapsed.

Ongoing work

We review pages as we build and update them, and we work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our practical standard. Some older documents and third-party tools we link to may not yet meet that standard.
